Move Valorant to Another Drive Without Reinstalling (NO DOWNLOADS)
22In this video I show you how to move Valorant to another drive without reinstalling. You can move Valorant to another drive by moving the Valorant game folder to drive that you want it. Additionally, you will need to select the folder that you want the Valorant game to be in. If you just select the drive then it will be in the general drive folder. In most cases you will want to create a game folder or Riot Games folder to put the Valorant game files in.
To be able to move Valorant to another drive you must first close Valorant and the Riot Client. In some cases the Riot Client will remain open in the background, so you will need to close it from the hidden icons menu as well.
After your Valorant files have moved to a different drive you will need to open the Riot Client. Here you will see Valorant under the “My Games” heading. Selecting Valorant will give you the option to Install the game. Bu clicking the Install button you will open the installation menu.
With the installation menu open you will need to select the “Already Installed?” text. This allows you to select the new location for the Valorant game files. When selecting a file you will need to go into the Valorant folder that was moved to the new folder, and select the live folder. This live folder contains all of the game files that are needed to play Valorant.
Once you have selected the folder the Riot Client will begin to verify the files. This will only take a few seconds to complete. After the Valorant game files have been verified the Install button will say Play.
If you want to increase Valorant load times then you will want to move Valorant from HDD to SSD. An SSD will typically provide faster load times, allowing you to play Valorant quicker. Having Valorant on your C drive is typically best as C drive will usually be an SSD.
You can also use this method to move Valorant to a different folder without causing any issues.
