Step 1. Open the Settings app on your Android device, and then tap "System" in the list of options.

Step 2. Tap "Gestures" in this menu. Associated options are displayed.

Step 3. Tap "Press and Hold Power Button." You'll see options for what happens when you press and hold the Power button on your Android device.

Step 4. The only option you'll have if you don't want pressing and holding the Power button to open the digital assistant, is to have it open the power menu. As a result, tap to select "Power Menu." Going forward pressing and holding the Power button on your Android device will no longer launch the digital assistant, but it will open the power menu.
