To record your screen with OBS Studio (or Streamlabs OBS), follow these concise steps:

Install OBS:
Download OBS Studio from obsproject.com or Streamlabs OBS from [streamlabs com/slobs].

Install and launch as administrator.
Set Up a Scene:

Open OBS. A default scene is created automatically.
If needed, click the "+" in the "Scenes" panel (bottom-left) to create a new scene.

Add a Display Capture Source:
In the "Sources" panel (next to Scenes), click "+".
Select "Display Capture" (or "Window Capture" for a specific app).
Name the source and click "OK".

Choose your monitor (if multiple displays) and click "OK". Your screen should appear in the OBS preview.
Configure Recording Settings:

Go to Settings (bottom-right) - Output:
Set "Output Mode" to "Simple" (or "Advanced" for more control).
Choose a recording path (e.g., C:\Videos).
Select a format (e.g., MP4).

For quality, use "High Quality, Medium File Size" or set a bitrate (e.g., 2500–5000 kbps).

In Video, set "Base (Canvas) Resolution" and "Output (Scaled) Resolution" to your screen resolution (e.g., 1920x1080) and FPS (e.g., 30 or 60).

Start Recording:

Click "Start Recording" (bottom-right).
Your screen is now being recorded to the specified file path.
Click "Stop Recording" when done.
Optional Adjustments:

Audio: Ensure audio sources (e.g., "Desktop Audio" or "Mic/Aux") are added via Sources - "+" and not muted in the Audio Mixer.

Crop/Resize: Right-click the source in the preview, select "Transform" or "Filters" to adjust size or crop.

Hotkeys: Set recording hotkeys in Settings - Hotkeys for easier control.
Check Output:

Find your recording in the specified folder (e.g., C:\Videos).
Play to verify video and audio quality.
