How to Remove Front and Back Cover on PS5!
0To remove the front and back covers of your PS5, please follow the instructions below:
Turn off your PS5 console and unplug the AC power cord and cables. Wait for your console to cool down before removing and attaching the covers.
Position the console with the power button facing you.
To remove the front cover, grip the upper left corner of the cover and pull it up until you hear a “pop.” Slide it in the opposite direction to remove it.
To remove the back cover, turn the console upside down, positioning it to the PS logo at the top (the ports should be facing you). Grab the edge (just above the logo), lift it a half-inch and snap it off. Slide it off, done.
Please note that before removing or attaching the covers, it is important to read the safety precautions mentioned in the official PlayStation website1. Be careful not to pinch your fingers in the gaps between parts, and not to hurt your hands and fingers on the corner of parts1. When turning on your console, make sure the covers are installed correctly. If the covers are not installed correctly, it may cause the main unit to overheat
