Did you purchase a single player AAA game that will lock you into one save file? Well, Dragon's Dogma 2 definitely gave that surprise, but I'm here to show you how to start a new game, what to do to make sure that the Steam Cloud doesn't overwrite your data, and what you can do to get your old data back.
If you were hoping to play this game on multiple devices but wanted to start anew: brace yourselves. Cloud Saving is going to be a pain for you.
1) Turn off Steam Cloud Saving
2) Go to Local Files (wherever your Steam client is installed)
3) It's under Program Files (x86), Steam, userdata, XXXXXXXX, 2054970
4) In the remote subfolder there is a win64_save folder. Delete it (or its contents, or paste them to some other folder).
Note: it's really weird that Steam didn't ask me if I wanted to use local files or steam cloud files at the end of this video. It always has. I wonder if a setting changed somewhere. However, you can go into your steam cloud data and pick what files you want to keep or remove.
