As 2023 comes to a close, so too should the era of gritty muddy dirty space based games. Give me more like Cobalt Core (which in fact WAS made by the same developer as the excellent Sunshine Heavy Industries). It's like FTL in that you have to navigate a dangerous universe with your crew and your ship trying to reach the end. It's like Slay the Spire in that your combat is card based and there are just as many of your opponent's mechanics to manage as your own. But then, this game also does something else that neither of those games do: it makes you CARE about who you're playing as. This is the total package and very worthy of the accolades it received. Sorry I've been late to the party.
