If you're looking to slow down a clip in Final Cut Pro X or make a clip slow motion in Final Cut Pro X, you will need to select the clip in FCPX that you want to slow down or make slow motion and go to the retime tool. After you have selected the retime tool in Final Cut Pro X, you will then need to go to select the speed that you want to make the clip in Final Cut Pro X.
If you want to speed up a clip in Final Cut Pro X, such as make a time lapse in Final Cut Pro X, you will need to select the clip in Final Cut Pro X that you want to speed up and then go to the retime tool in Final Cut Pro X. After you have selected the clip you want to speed up in Final Cut Pro X, you will need to go to the Retime tool. The Retime tool in Final Cut Pro X will allow you to retime clips in Final Cut Pro X.
