Twitch implemented ban appeals so users that have been banned from chat can ask for their ban to be removed. With the ban appeal the user can give a statement on their actions that lead to them being banned.

The stream broadcaster and moderators can view all ban appeals and see the statements. Along with the ban appeal you can access moderator comments for more information on the person.

Once you have reviewed a ban appeal you can choose whether to accept or deny it. Accepting the appeal will unban the user and allow you to send a custom message to the unbanned user.
