How to Get Channel Points Fast on Twitch (Automatically Redeem Chests)
268Twitch channel points can be earned fast by watching a stream and actively redeeming the chest point rewards. The chests appear every 15 minutes, and give a bonus 50 channel points when redeemed.
The actively watching chest can be automatically redeemed using the BTTV plugin for Google Chrome and other web browsers.
The Better TTV settings can be accessed by clicking on your Twitch profile image, or using the chat settings. In the BTTV settings you can enable the option to automatically claim chest rewards. Once enabled all streams that you watch on the browser will automatically have the chest rewards claimed.
Ensuring the bonus 50 points every 15 minutes can greatly increase how fast you earn channel points on Twitch.
Every user that watches a steam will also earn 10 points every five minutes. These points are automatically added to your total.
When watching a channel that you are subscribed to you will also earn channel points at a faster rate. Being a sub will apply a multiplier to the channel points earned from watching the stream.
Tier 1 subscribers earn a 1.2x multiplier, Tier 2 get a 1.4x multiplier, and tier 3 earn a 2x multiplier.
Twitch subscriber multipliers also apply even if your subscription is gifted. However you will miss out on the subscription channel point bonus.
Another fast method for gaining channel points is to earn a watch streak. Each consecutive stream watched will earn a bonus. The bonus amount increases every time until you’ve reached a watch streak if 5. Any watch streak of 5 or more will reward you 450 channel points for viewing the stream.
