How to Remove Cursor from OBS Game, Display, and Window Capture
In OBS you can choose whether or not to have your mouse cursor displayed when using game, display and window capture. By default the cursor will be shown on all capture sources until disabled.
Your mouse cursor can be removed through the source properties menu. The properties can be opened by right clicking on the source and choosing “properties”. Alternatively double clicking on the source will also work.
On both game and display capture sources you will see a capture cursor option. The box will be checked indicating that the cursor is being captured. Uncheck the box to disable the mouse cursor from being shown in OBS.
Windows capture works slightly differently. To remove your cursor from windows capture you will need to change the capture method to BitBit. This will enable to capture cursor setting in the properties.
When using the BitBit window capture method some applications may appear as a black box. This is typically due to hardware acceleration being used to run the program.
Most programs allow you to disable the hardware acceleration option, which should fix the black box error. Once hardware acceleration has been disabled you will need to restart OBS to view the window.
Once the BitBit window capture source is working correctly you can disable the capture cursor option.
