How to See PS5 Console Storage & Delete Games using PHONE APP
To check your PS5 console storage and delete games using the PlayStation App on your phone, follow these steps:
Ensure Your PS5 is Linked to the PlayStation App:
Confirm your PS5 is connected to the PlayStation App as described previously (Settings - Users and Accounts - Linked Services on PS5, and link via the app). Your PS5 must be powered on or in rest mode with Stay Connected to the Internet enabled (Settings - System - Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode).
Check PS5 Console Storage:
Open the PlayStation App on your phone (iOS or Android).
Tap the Settings icon (cog symbol) in the top-right corner.
Select Storage to view your PS5’s available storage. This displays:
Console Storage (internal SSD, ~667.2GB usable of 825GB or 1TB depending on model).
M.2 SSD Storage (if installed).
USB Extended Storage (if a USB drive is connected).
The app shows the total space used by games, apps, media, and other data, with file sizes listed next to each game.
Delete Games Using the PlayStation App:
In the Storage section of the PlayStation App, select the storage type (Console Storage, M.2 SSD, or USB Extended Storage).
Browse the list of installed games and apps.
Tap the circle or checkbox next to the game(s) you want to delete to select them. You can select multiple items.
A prompt will appear at the bottom saying Delete [X] Game(s). Tap it.
Confirm by selecting Delete when asked, “Are you sure you want to delete?” The PS5 will boot into normal mode (if in rest mode), delete the selected games, and return to rest mode.
