How to Turn On Auto Video Upload to Phone for PS5 Video Clips on PS APP
1To enable auto video upload for PS5 video clips to your phone via the PlayStation App, follow these steps:
Ensure Prerequisites:
Download and install the latest version of the PlayStation App on your iOS (14.0 or later) or Android (8.0 or later) device.
Sign in with your PlayStation Network account.
Link your PS5 console to the PlayStation App.
Ensure your PS5 is in rest mode with the "Stay Connected to the Internet" setting enabled (Settings - System - Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode - Stay Connected to the Internet).
Enable Auto-Upload on PS5:
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings - Captures and Broadcasts - Captures.
Turn on Auto-Upload.
Alternatively, go to Media Gallery on your PS5. A pop-up may appear prompting you to enable Auto-Upload; select Enable.
Enable Captures in PlayStation App:
Open the PlayStation App on your phone.
Navigate to Library- Captures.
If prompted, select Enable to allow captures to sync to the app.
Verify and Access Clips:
Once enabled, supported video clips (up to 3 minutes, 1920x1080 resolution or lower) and screenshots will auto-upload to the cloud and appear in the PlayStation App under Library - Captures for 14 days after creation.
To download a clip to your phone, open it in the app and select the Download icon (downward arrow).
Notes:
Only manual captures (via the DualSense controller’s Create button) are uploaded; trophy moments and auto-captures are not supported.
Clips in 4K or longer than 3 minutes won’t upload.
No PlayStation Plus subscription is required.
Captures are stored on Sony’s cloud servers for 14 days and remain on your PS5 storage.
If captures don’t appear, ensure your PS5 is online and Auto-Upload is enabled. Captures before enabling the feature won’t sync
