How to Select Non-Contiguous Text in Mac OS X to Copy / Paste / Modify

You can select non-contiguous text in many Mac OS X applications by *holding down the Command key* as you make text selections. This allows you to select blocks of text which do not touch, that you can then cut, copy, paste, or modify as any other selected text block.
