For each location, you need to set the icon that is directly north/south and directly east/west of that location to the icon of the animal hunted there. When you have one right, Poirot will mark the location with a red dot. The icons you need to flip are the right icon on the top row, the first and third icons on the bottom row, the lowest icon on the left side, and the top two icons on the right side.

When all three are located, the map will move to reveal a safe. Use the year from the signet ring: 1587 on the four dials to unlock the safe. Examine the money and securities on the top shelf and each set of documents on the bottom shelf.
