How to Solve the Record Player Puzzle Inside the House of Betty in Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders
Zoom in on the door on the front and use the key to open it. Take the record (observe it to see the code 78T) and examine the music sheet (which shows the standard meanings for rests of different durations).
Open the drawer on the side and take the handle. Open the little flap inside it to reveal a musical equation. You have to set the first three rests so that their total duration is equal to a quarter of the rest. Using an eight-rest (looks like a 7) and two sixteenth-rests (looks like a 7 with two stems) does the trick.
Back out and a small panel has opened below the drawer. Zoom in there and use the code from the record: 78T. Another mechanism should unlock. Look above the drawer for a hole in the side of the player. Insert the handle and turn it around twice (it should click into place at that point).
Go to the front of the player and select the switch that opens up on the front just below the player. This should lift the needle. Use the record on the platter. Flip the switch again. Now push the button above the switch.
