How to Switch from Party Chat to Game Chat On Xbox One (Fast Tutorial)
2Make sure you are in a party chat:
If you are not in a party chat yet, you can start one by inviting friends to a party. To do this, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, navigate to the "Parties & chats" tab, and select "Start a party."
To switch from Party Chat to Game Chat, you have a couple of options:
Option 1: Use the Party Chat Overlay
While in a party chat, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to the "Parties & chats" tab.
Highlight the party you are in, and you will see an option that says "Switch to game chat." Select this option, and you will switch to the in-game chat.
Option 2: Go through Party Settings
While in a party chat, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to the "Parties & chats" tab.
Select "Party options."
In the party options menu, you will see an option that says "Switch to game chat." Select this option, and you will switch to the in-game chat.
