You may want to disable this feature if you want to maximize your device's battery life, prefer a darker screen while your device is idle, or don't want to run the risk of anyone easily seeing your notifications.

Now let's walk through the steps to turn off the Always On Display on your iPhone.

Step 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down this menu and then click "Display and Brightness." The Display and Brightness screen is displayed.

Step 2. Scroll down this menu, and then tap "Always On Display." The Always On Display screen opens.

Step 3. Tap to toggle "Always On Display" off. Going forward your iPhone screen will fully turn off when your device is locked and will no longer go into a low-power dim state where you can see information.
