You might want to disable auto sleep on your Nintendo Switch if you’re in the middle of a long gaming session, watching a video, or downloading large files, and you don’t want your console to go to sleep automatically. Turning off this feature can help you avoid interruptions and ensure your gaming or viewing experience remains seamless.
So, if you’re ready to take control of your Nintendo Switch sleep settings and enjoy uninterrupted playtime, let’s dive right into it.
Step 1. Navigate to your Nintendo Switch home screen, and then click "System Settings" in the menu. System settings options for your Switch Lite are shown.
Step 2. Scroll down the menu on the left side of the screen, and then click "Sleep Mode." Associated options are shown on the right side of the screen.
Step 3. Click "Auto Sleep." An Auto Sleep menu pops up displaying options for auto sleep.
Step 4. Click to select "Never." Going forward the auto sleep feature on your Nintendo Switch will be disabled.
