To turn off the controller and adjust the timeout settings on your Steam Deck, follow these steps:

Turning Off the Controller
Switch to Desktop Mode:
Press the Steam button.
Navigate to Power and select Switch to Desktop.
Disable Steam Input:

Open Steam in Desktop Mode.
Go to Settings - Controller - General Controller Settings.
Uncheck the Enable Steam Input box.
Disable Controller in Desktop Configuration:
In Steam, go to Settings - Controller - Desktop Configuration.
Select Browse Configs and choose Disabled
