To turn off your PS4 controller directly from the PS4 console, you can follow these steps:

From the PS4 Console:
Press and hold the PlayStation button on your controller. This is the large button in the center with the PlayStation logo.
A menu will appear on the screen.

Navigate to and select Turn Off Device.
Then, choose Controller from the submenu.
The controller will begin the shutdown process.

Alternative Method Without Using the Screen:

If you wish to turn off the controller without accessing the console's menu, you can do so by pressing and holding the PlayStation button for about 10 seconds. The controller's lights will start to fade, indicating it's shutting down.
