How to Turn Off the Power on or Startup Sound on Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
If you find the startup sound on your Android phone annoying or unnecessary, there are a few ways to disable it. Here are some methods you can try:
Mute Media Volume:
The simplest way to prevent the startup sound is to mute the media volume. You can do this by using the physical volume buttons on the side of your device.
If your phone’s volume buttons control the ringtone or notification volume by default, start by pressing one of the physical volume buttons anyway.
Look for a menu button on the virtual volume slider that appears on your screen (it might be three dots, a gear icon, or a set of switches).
Tap this button to expand the volume menu and lower the media volume to zero (the one with the standard speaker icon).
Keep in mind that if you turn the media volume back up later, the startup sound will play again.
Automate with Tasker (Advanced):
If you want a more automated solution, consider using an app like Tasker.
Set up a profile that becomes active whenever certain apps are open (e.g., during work hours or meetings).
Configure a task that turns the media volume up about halfway.
Add an exit task to mute the media volume again when those apps aren’t being used.
Tasker allows you to create custom automation rules for various scenarios.
