How to Turn On the Proximity Voice Chat in SEA OF THIEVES (Turn On Mic)
13To enable proximity voice chat in Sea of Thieves, follow these steps:
Push to Talk (PTT):
On PC, the default keybind for Push to Talk is Left Alt. You can change this by going to Keyboard and Mouse Settings in the Game Options.
For Xbox, manually set a button in the Controller Settings menu.
Choose Between Hold and Toggle Options:
In the Audio Settings, you can select either Hold (speak while pressing the keybind) or Toggle (press once to talk, press again to mute).
Turn Off Push to Talk for Open Microphone:
If you prefer an open microphone, set Push to Talk to Off in the Audio Settings. Your mic will always be active.
Adjust Proximity Chat Direction:
Proximity chat can be set to Directional (voice from the direction of the player) or Non-Directional (normal voice audio).
