This video takes you through using SteamCMD via Terminal to download Windows-only game files from a Steam account on your Mac. Once you have them on your Mac computer, you can attempt to use a virtual drive app launching application (such as Wine, PlayOnMac, etc.) to see if the game will function on your computer as intended.

NOTE: This does not guarantee that the game will run, only that you will get the Windows-only game files which Steam typically prevents you from even being able to download within the normal OS X Steam UI!
