Writing a good murder mystery take a lot of time and planning. But that sort of planning is probably easier if you use a module, and don't just write it all yourself.

At any rate, this had a LOT of Riker-ing all over the episode. And the main antagonist isn't a bad guy, and that's where it gets fun. :D They actually have a justice focused episode, and justice gets done properly. Would your players succeed? hmm....
