How to use the plot elements of Star Trek: TNG's Deja Q in a TTRPG
Deja Q is the first episode of Star Trek to actually show a second Q. It's also a moral test... not directed at anyone in the crew of the Enterprise.
Which makes a very interesting dilemma for the crew. They're part of the CONDITIONS of the test, but don't know the PURPOSE, and as it turns out really don't have a way to influence anything other than talking to Q. They don't even get to talk to Q2. Yeah, Q Continuum hijinks get weird sometimes.
Now the Calamarain and Bre'el, there's stuff you could do with them too. Federation member race, probably got stuff going on there.
There's also an odd background detail that might hint at an abandoned plot element. The costume worn by that Bre'el scientist... is labeled a "Calamarian" costume. Was the original intent of the writers that the space-monster is actually a conglomerate of Bre'el natives?
