Howler for an Hour Stream: Hyperbolic Ignition

Hyperbolic Ignition is a shooter utilizing movement controls not unlike the original Asteroids, where you propel yourself forward with one stick and aim with the other. You have two attacks, bombs, and a shield to combat never-ending waves of enemies and the occasional boss fight which pops up upon certain score amounts.
Holding the stick up to boost seems fine at first, but your thumb quickly tires holding it down the whole time when you're trying to dodge the relentless enemies; I wish forward momentum was tied to a button. I had a weird issue where I couldn't turn with the right stick correctly too; but I don't know if this was just a controller issue. Another issue is all your attacks, bombs and shield are tied to the four shoulder buttons...which makes it really a chore to say, keep the primary fire button held down while activating bombs, or activating shields while shooting the secondary weapon. This is because those two sets of abilities are on buttons right next to each other, and this simply is uncomfortable to juggle on an Xbox controller. I imagine it would be better on a Playstation controller, but a better option for both would be to just use the controllers' face buttons...which aren't utilized at all in this game.
Beyond that, all this is, is a survival score-attack game. It doesn't seem to be random; you face the same enemies in the same order, and there are no checkpoints or levels to continue from. You play, you die, you start over. While there is a leaderboard to pursue with this if you like competition, I don't feel there's enough content here to justify a $10 price tag.
