Now, I love history. And I love games set in the colonial era; I feel it's an age of American history that we don't see explored enough. And I always liked studying the The Lewis and Clark Expedition. Making a game around this expedition - a real adventure! - sounded like a great idea.
Unfortunately this game doesn't quite excel at hitting the mark. A very slow and wordy tutorial eventually turns into very limited and slow-paced gameplay, and I think it says something that I preferred to wander off into the fields rather than continue going through yet more dialogue when the opportunity presented itself.
It does feel a lot like older edu-tainment games, the ones that didn't quite understand the concept of making a compelling game in addition to teaching you things. I see some true heart was put into this, but it misses the mark, at least for me. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/charemplaysgames
