Whilst I had the machine apart, I dumped the ROMs - 192KB of masked system ROMs and 8KB configuration EPROM.

I uploaded them to my Github repository here:
https://github.com/0ddjob/HP_Portable_Plus

I was able to boot the machine up with no issue, after creating a simple power cable. At 6VDC the machine sipped only 90mA of power, and nothing when "off".

With 512KB of RAM in total, the default arrangement is 80KB of system RAM and 432KB of RAM disks (A: and B:). I was also able to confirm that the system is running MS-DOS 2.11.
