HROT Stream - Episode 3 (The Gastroscopy)
15Welcome to HROT, a throwback shooter in the style of Quake, Chasm: The Rift and a little inspiration from Dusk. It is made by Spytihněv, a Czech developer who also made his own engine for the game in Pascal. You take the role of an unnamed man in an alternate dystopian Czech Republic in 1986 where some unnamed disaster happened. Take your hammer, sickle and pistol and fight horrific foes to defend your country from... doing stuff.
Explore various locations, some of them inspired by real places with emphasis on historical details. And as a true Quake inspired shooter, expect lots of brown.
Episode 3 is... all around really bizarre. We dream of killer newts, get a gastroscopy, make a new friend and confront the ultimate enemy that threatens Prague and all of Czechoslovakia. All without explaining anything in the process.
