AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..... I Really wanted to Enjoy this game I Really Really wanted Hunt Showdown to be a game i could stick with for some time BUT sadly its a Game with so much Potential but that Potential is Wasted. Hunt Showdown feels like a Bad Port on Console but also feels like its still a Beta that Needs a lot more work to be done on it and in My Opinion should not of released yet, Well not on Console anyway. It is 2021 and by Todays Standards Hunt Showdown does Not Deliver, With its Clunky Gun Play, Wonky Hit Registration, Dumb AI, Easy and Dumb Bosses, Lack of Modes, Terrible Load Times, Little to No Playerbase ( i know why after playing ), Unwelcoming Community to New Players, Perma Death System which does Not Need to be Present but i Understand Why it is, Also it Encourages Players Not to Rush.
In My Opinion the Game should of been a Free to Play Game because its Not Worth the Price Tag in My Opinion. I Got it on Sale and Still Feel Ripped Off which is a shame.
Its a Shame Because Hunt Showdown has an Amazing Concept with Amazing Sound Design with Realistic Old Fashioned Weapons and Good Map Design and a Great Atmosphere but the Overall Janky and Clunky Gameplay over shadows the Good in this Game.
For Me the Gameplay is Not Smooth and for Me that is Very Important, The Game Feels like it would Great on Keyboard and Mouse for the Gun Play BUT sadly its Pretty Bad and poorly Optimised for Console.
Sometimes it Feels like you have concrete blocks on your feet or strapped to your hands when moving around or engaging in Gun Fights, The Weapons themselves are Great but the Ridged Clunky Gun Play Mechanics and with how it does Not Feel smooth at all to play and the Hit Registration does Not feel right making the experience less enjoyable.
I Really Really hope Crytek work on its Core Gun Play and make it more Smooth and Fluid while doing some Balance Changes while also Improving Enemies because at the moment they do Not Feel like a Threat or a Challenge and Especially Improve and Change how Boss Encounters Happen instead of being able to just Cheese it by Standing by the Door.
Hunt Showdown is a Game which 3 Million Players have Downloaded it BUT at its Best Peak Month of Players Playing its only hit 32k, And those Peaks Average between 15k to 2k normally over the months. Hunt Showdown has only ever had 2 months in its entire life span which reached a Peak of about 30k players playing, Most of the time the player counts hover around 1k to 6k and the viewership on platforms like twitch ect are pretty dead with hardly anyone watching or being interested.
So out of the 3 Million Players who have played Hunt Showdown 2,968,000 Players Left and Dont Bother to Play Hunt Showdown soon after Playing it for a Reason.
BUT IF YOU ENJOY the Game then thats the Most Important Thing which is Play what YOU Enjoy Regardless of Reviews or Stats BUT for me its a NO and as it Stands i Find HUNT SHOWDOWN to be a Below Average Game that NEEDS a LOT of Improvements and Maybe IF they Improve the Game i Might come back to Hunt and Maybe get the Enjoyable Experience i was Looking for But for now its to Clunky and Boring for me......
