Playthrough | Part 17: Take the Overlord Down
With all four fakes dealt with and everyone united, it's now time to finally face off against the Overlord Momus.
Neptune and her party confront Arfoire and this time, we're ready to take the Overlord down. Overlord Momus is a two-phase fight. Phase 1 isn't hard. Prep yourself accordingly. Buff your party then debuff Momus. Then give him hell. Not a hard fight to say the least.
After a bit, Momus is revived once more. Neptune is still without her HDD form but suddenly the people start believing in Neptune while denying Momus' belief. In doing so, this causes Neptune to regain her HDD form. Now begins Phase 2. The same strategy applies but it won't be a problem by this point.
Momus is defeated and Arfoire retreats yet again. Now begins the final chapter, Chapter 8. Arfoire is left with not many options. Now she plans to make the four lands collide with each other, causing absolute destruction. So Histoire decides to have everyone head for the one place where she would be: Celestia. They try to reach it via an elevator only to fail. It's then that Neptune receives her legendary weapon, the Holy Fang Blade.
They arrive at the ruins that would lead to Celestia so Histoire asks Neptune, Noire, Vert and Blanc to insert their weapons into the keys. But since the weapons have changed form, there's no way to open. But they suggest to change things up. Eventually, the four insert their weapons into the wall. This causes the way to Celestia opens via a Rainbow Bridge. Sound familiar?
Part 18 is where we prepare for the end as we head for Celestia.
