Playthrough | Part 3: The Mountain & A New Ally
Our next stop for Joe Musashi is that we're heading for the mountain.
ENE Corp has a base there and Joe being Joe goes in to shut that whole thing down. A lot of enemies are there, and your skills will be tested for sure. It's also here where we're introduced to Elite Squads. These are hidden in every area and there are three of them. If you take them down, you get a nice reward. It's recommended that you do this once you get all your abilities. It'll really help out as they are no joke.
As for new skills, we get the Wind Slash Ninpo. We also get the Ninja Claws. Think of it as the Spider Ball except you can only climb on certain walls. It adds to the exploration. You will face off against some Stomper Bots and these guys are no joke. Also, since we took down all 3 elite squads, we get a Lab Key. What is it for? That's for much later. At the end you face off against the Mandara. This boss is easy with the right skills but watch out for its lasers. Use the wall behind you so you can climb up and avoid the attacks. Once you take the Mandara down, you get the Shuriken Ninpo.
Unfortunately, we return back to the Musashi home only to find a horrible sight. Tomoe and Yamato are dead, turned to stone due to Ruse. Now it's personal. But as he's ready to move, he encounters a new ally. He is Ankou, the Grim Reaper. He tells his backstory on how Ruse denied his destiny and took his death scythe. With it, the balance of life and death has been distorted. Now Musashi has a reason to stop Ruse and his organization.
Three new areas are unlocked. Part 4 takes us to Neo City. It's payback time.
