From game developer, Run-Down Games comes Sit-Ups workout. The same developers of Push-ups workout, which you can tell from the logo. Sit-Ups workout is yet another switch fitness game from them that is specified to only one exercise and feels like a twenty-ten Android app. The question is if the game is worth five hard-earned dollars, and does the workout plan work out the abs? Should you guys purchase this, should that money go to its brother game Push-Ups Workout? These questions and more can only be found by doing the Sit-Ups workout for sixty days. What's up, everybody! My name is Jack Jenkins, and welcome to my channel. I do videos on self-improvement challenges, and this is my series of Fitness Game Reviews where I play a game to lose weight.

Releasing in January of 2022, the game is incredibly similar to Push-Ups Workout, more than just the logo. Sit-Ups Challenge uses the same layout, graphics, and music as its predecessor. The main difference is that this game utilizes a blue theme instead of red. If you haven't watched my review of that game, then I recommend watching that video first. I will be comparing the two games due to all of these differences. I'll wait… watch that one now. Alright, welcome back! Let's go over the home screen of the game.

What I said there was a little wrong, but I will get to that quickly. What is true is that the game's layout is exactly the same. However, the game is just five dollars in the US. The app also constantly goes on sale for just two bucks, so I get it. That price point makes it pretty reasonable then for the developers to do this as a quick turnaround. It would be less of a problem if it fixed some issues or added some instructions. That first game was devoid of any information or content, and this one is as well.

With the game home screen reviewed, it's time to begin the sit-ups workout challenge. There are eight rounds with three levels each. I made my sheet like that, with each round being a week and the levels being how often I do them each week. I put my workout days on Thursday, Saturday, and Monday as I did this one and the push-ups Workout Challenge simultaneously. That's six workouts a week with a day to rest in-between. With the sheet made, I went on my eight-week journey to get more muscular abs. Here is my big ol' body on day 1.

We will see the end results at the end of the video so stay tuned. Or you can skip ahead a few minutes and spoil it. While doing this exercise, I had the same issue with the game not automatically switching levels as in the switch push-up video. I did round one-two the first day, took a rest day, and came back with the game screen still saying around one-two. I picked my own levels instead since the game is pretty much broken. That isn't how you are supposed to do it, however. I figured out that the way I planned it originally was correct and that the game is literally broken in this option. The developers never

While the level-changing feature is broken, the gameplay of the Push-ups challenge… is also broken. Finally, something that is different about it and Push-Ups challenge. Instead of touching your head to the screen like in that game, you have to hold the switch next to your face and sit up. When I started doing them, I thought you pressed the nose to the screen after a sit-up due to the image on the warning screen. After a few times, I learned that the game just reads the proper Joycon movement. For the rest of the time, I put the screen to the side, used just the Joycon, and looked at the screen to see how many Sit-Ups I had left. The game controlled pretty bad either way, so it made no difference. Of course, there are no actual instructions that tell you that you can just hold the Joycon, so how was anybody supposed to know. I gather that the Joycon reads when it goes from horizontal to vertical, so make sure you do that movement.

With the Joycon in hand, I did the sit-ups in each round. Sometimes the game reads me doing them correctly, while other times, it will ding twice and count me doing two of them. Sometimes the game doesn't read me doing them at all, no matter how much I move the Joy-con. There's no feedback from the game or a ranking system, so it's not like I can tell what I am doing wrong. I kept trying it differently over the eight weeks and still don't know how to get them to register correctly with the game. It's a highly frustrating experience that leaves me wanting a much better game. While different, the game I am playing right now as I write the script, Let's Get Fit, reads sit-ups perfectly. One of the few exercises that the game can do, but I will save my rant on that one for a different video....
