I was never aware of this computer "back in the day" ... I remember the IBM Convertible PC coming out with it's neat pop-up twin 3.5" floppy drives, but hadn't realised about this earlier Portable Personal Computer.

It uses an earlier version of the IBM PC/XT (Model 5160) motherboard ... oh, and yes, the keyboard uses an RJ11 connector and not RJ45, duh.

Got this sometime in 2018 for quite a good price - picked it up in Sydney so no shipping charges either - bonus! Ironically, it was "around the corner" from where we used to live (for ten years) before leaving Sydney for Port.

From my earlier research, it appears to have an AST "SixPackPlus" memory expansion and serial I/O card, a standard CGA card, a hard drive plus an unknown card.

I originally upgraded the BIOS to the latest available but then got stuck trying to get a CF drive and/or FlashFloppy drive to work. I may have also installed an NEC V20 and/or 8087 math co-processor. Maybe.

Now that I've got it out again, first thing is to check what's lurking in the power supply before doing anything else.
