In a Wicked Age - The Ghouls Are in the Garden
3A new age has begun. The undead have now retreated from some of the lands of mankind, allowing them to make their own way. For now, at least. But it is a difficult time, and humanity is on a short leash, ever-wary of a horde of living cadavers that could stream into their lands and overrun them whenever they choose. Resources are hard-won and greatly coveted. Thieves and murderers abound, and many a sacrifice must be made to ensure survival. Most mortal lands have become like unto nests of vipers, where only the most cunning will come out on top.
The Oracle we drew prompts from for this game was A Nest of Vipers. The results were:
- A prodigy-mage, still a maid, drunk with occult power.
- A youth or maiden, the reincarnation of a great hero, whose soul remembers glory.
- An altar to devils of the waste, stinking with gore.
- The head of a high war-captain, in a carved wooden cask.
