Magic the gathering is a game that is collectable, how people look at MTG these days, as game pieces, collectable cards, or whatever, Magic the gathering is a game, that has collectable value. Though not all of it is guaranteed to stay high in price, or some cards not guaranteed it wont be reprinted. Magic the gathering is more of a gamble. We have a game that continues to grow, we have a player base and a collector base that is growing as well. No matter how many people are leaving the game, many people are joining the game all the same. but what is also true, is existing players and collectors like you and I are being smarter about what we buy and smarter about changes being implemented to our beloved game. I think what the community has done right is that it has brought awareness to the money grub, coin grabbing methods Wizards of the Coast has been doing. That builds a smarted player and collector base.
