Inane In The STEM Brain
45Well, I finally did it, after so many months of threatening to do it, I've made a video about what I call "STEM Brain" which, if I'm honest, was an absolutely wild recording as you'll all see. So enjoy my spooky season shirt that I wear in this one and many many pictures of me while I had the dreaded STEM brain.
I start with an overview of what exactly STEM is for the purposes of this video. Then I go over some of the consequences we see when STEM people or aspiring STEM people approach politics as well. Including some of the more ridiculous Brexit/early Pandemic responses from people like Brian Cox and the infamous "Hipster Analysis" moment where commentators chose to punch left, but disguised with adherence to expert opinion. Finally I try to offer some thoughts on whether you can ever really recover from STEM brain before I wrap up the video with a set of rather confused thoughts to tie it all together because to be honest this script came very close to getting away from me.
