Lost In The Open is an Indie, Party based, Grid based, Turn Based Tactics RPG Roguelike set in a low fantasy, Procedurally Generated land; think Battle Brothers + FTL; awesome!

Like Battle Brothers:
From Battle Brothers, Lost In The Open has the intense tactical battles, where unit formation matters, and you want to draw up a strong battle line to protect your flanks.
Unit facing really matters here too; being flanked in Lost In The Open is nasty, as you take 100% increased damage and crit from attacks from behind: as you might expect, being attacked from behind is bad!
Attacks from the sides also deal 50% increased damage and crit chance, so keep your troops together commander!

Also, much like Battle Brothers, there is a stamina system present, and it really matters, as it feeds both your movement and your attacks; meaning: playing smart and not wasting all your troops’ energy charging in is rewarded, as they will have more stamina left to actually fight!
Much like in Battle Brothers; you can attack as much as your stamina allows, so keep your troops fresh!

Like FTL:
Like in FTL, in Lost In The Open, you plan your path through the procedural land, traveling node by interconnected node to escape your pursuers, each node seems to have between 4 - 6 connections, so you always seem to have a choice in your path.
These nodes might be combat, a random event, a merchant; much like in FTL, the random map full of random events helps keep things interesting.
Like in FTL, you need fuel in Lost In The Open: food is your fuel here; you need it to keep going.

Like in FTL, in Lost In The Open, you are chased, pursued by the rebel scum intent upon bringing your run and rule to an end, and they are relentless.
Ye must avoid thy pursuers; else ye and your company will be forced into a dire fight and left with little time to gather thine just rewards!

Note: This is an early look at the demo for Lost In The Open so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Lost In The Open is a Turn Based Tactics RPG Roguelike offering an intensely tactical mix up of FTL and Battle Brothers, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
