DISCLAIMER - I take no responsibility if anything should happen to your system when using this guide.

1 - Use your "The Movies" CD-ROM or DVD-ROM

2 - Check the Properties for Setup.exe on your CD/DVD drive and set the Compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3. You can use Service Pack 2 as well. Also make sure you click the box to "Run As Administrator."

3- Install the game like normal. Enter your CD-Key when prompted. When asked if you want to install Windows Media Player and Direct X select "Yes." When prompted that Media Player is incompatible select "Cancel" then install Direct X.

4 - After the installation finishes navigate to your folder for the game. C:\Program Files (x86)\Lionhead Studios Ltd\The Movies and right click The Movies.exe and then select Properties and set your Compatibility mode to what you used earlier. XP Service Pack 3/Run As Administrator.

5 - Run the game and exit.

5 - Type in regedit into the Start Menu search field. Run Regedit and find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lionhead Studios Ltd\TheMovies

6 - Right click on GD: Screen Width and select Modify, type in the width you want to use.

7 - Right click on GD: Screen Height and select Modify, type in the height you want to use.

8 - Go To File and then Exit

9 - Run Movies.exe again, your game should now be running in the resolution you set in the Registry Editor.
