The future of the internet is bleak as privacy is continuously stripped off of people. If you want to use the internet, you absolutely have to hand over your privacy by sharing your ID to the corporations or the government and verify that you're an adult. Otherwise, you will not be able to use websites like Discord, YouTube, Spotify, Twitter X, and NVIDIA apparently, although that one is caused by a bug, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's going to happen in the future. And there will be many more in the future. Whatever website you're using right now, it will not be safe. The EU even wants to access your private chats.

You want to bypass the ID requirements by using a VPN and making it as if you're visiting the website on a different country? You can for now, but what if the country that you use as a VPN server does the same thing? What if that rule is applied by the website owners universally to every country on the planet? What if the website detects VPN use and you have to turn it off? What if you can't even get VPNs at all?

I guess we'll have to air our complaints to the government, but there are like 300k people who did, and the UK government is like "Nah, we're not really going to change that. The safety of children is way more important than the privacy of adults online." So, if the government doesn't want to help their people and the corporations have to comply to the whims of the government, the people are put in an awful situation where they all have to give away their anonymity for the sake of "protecting" the children and basic access to the most commonly-visited websites in the world.

Do not fret, ladies and gentlemen. There are definitely ways to make yourself way more private and anonymize yourself on the internet. If you want a complete guide, I recommend checking out Privacy Guides dot org (https://www.privacyguides.org/). It has a complete and comprehensive guide on making yourself more anonymous and more private online. That website is a great starting point to gain as much privacy and anonymity as you can, and I recommend everyone to check it out if you want to protect yourself.

Unfortunately, the thing about making yourself more private online is that it requires a lot of effort from the users themselves, as in, you. Both the corporations and the government are making it easier for the users to hand over their data with the temptation of accessing their favorite apps or websites. If you truly value your privacy and security, it's best if you are not tempted by the convenience and keep yourself private with the tools and guides from Privacy Guides dot org. That or just throw the whole computer to the trash.

If you are watching this video right now and hearing what I'm saying, chances are your privacy is already compromised. As the government and corporations ask for your private information, you can decide whether you're willing to make that compromise for the sake of convenience or take the long run and protect yourself as much as you can with as much effort as possible. Convenience or privacy? The choice is ultimately in your hand.
