10I could write what I talked about in the video, but I repeated it way too many times there already. I do think it's cool to see this side of roguelikes, though: completely the opposite of something like Prospector where everything is available but there's technically nothing to accomplish other than self-satisfaction. It's good to have a mix of the two, but if that were easy then there'd be a whole lot more great games than not.
If you're looking into roguelike development, this is honestly a good place to start. In my opinion, it's better to understand the rigor behind player/AI interaction and the relative solvability put into a game before letting your imagination and creativity do the rest.
