Is Anisotropic Filtering Fixed? | Launch vs Hotfix Version | Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart | GTX 1060
On July 28, Nixxes released Patch/Hotfix 1.727.0.0:
• Resolved visual issues with characters occurring on certain GPUs, including AMD Vega based models.
• Improved the visual quality of vegetation in ray-traced shadows and ray-traced reflections.
• Implemented a fix to make the Texture Filtering option work as intended.
Apart from Visual Bug Fixes for AMD GPUs and Raytracing, which I can't test, they claim to have fixed the Anisotropic Filtering option, which I guess wasn't working as intended?!? Here is a quick comparison between both Versions for Anisotropic Filtering behavior and a Performance Comparison.
Anisotropic Filtering is actually way heavier than expected on Performance! Still 16x IS RECOMMENDED, as texture quality suffers below 4x!

Game installed on a Kingston NV2 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0 (3.5GB/s READ) and Windows 11 Pro is used!
