It may be from way back in 2007, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl should be on any single-player adventure shooter fans wish-list, on PC, Xbox & PlayStation consoles.

In this semi-open world post apocalyptic adventure shooter, there's also some light RPG mechanics, a great story, interesting side-quests, and an NPC AI system that leads to emergent gameplay that makes the exclusion zone feel more alive than many other recent games of a similar nature.

Stalker is simple a joy to play - just get past the clunkiness, the brutal gun-fights, hard difficulty level and plain earlier areas, and you'll be rewarded with a great solo gaming experience.

Game-play wise, expect something similar (but a lot older than!) Cyberpunk 2077 or DayZ with stuff to do.
