Italian fashion giant Gucci to accept cryptocurrencies in stores
Italian fashion brand Gucci is stepping into the digital world. Announcing that it will allow the use of cryptocurrencies in selected stores in America, the brand aims to pioneer digital developments in the fashion industry.
The legendary Italian fashion brand Gucci, which has been on the rise since Alessandro Michele started as the creative director since 2015, invites its customers to the digital world this time.
The brand, which has taken an important step in today's world where the use of crypto money is on the increase, announced that its customers can use crypto money in some of its stores in the USA.
According to the news of Vogue Business, the application, which will be tested in a limited number of stores, will be available in all of North America until the end of summer.
THESE CRYPTOCURRENCIES ARE AVAILABLE
Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu will be used in the crypto money application, which will start in stores in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Atlanta.
QR CODE EASE
Customers will be able to make their payments from their crypto wallets using a QR code.
Considering that luxury fashion houses are keeping up with digital developments such as NFT and metaverse, this move by Gucci is actually not very surprising.
“For customers who choose to have that kind of option, the move to crypto is a very natural evolution,” said Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Gucci.
