Another year and yet another opportunity grow the kingdom in Warsim. First, though, instead of tending to my subjects or properly conducting diplomacy I take my bird brain over to the Arena and bet my shines for more shinies. No, that's something a crow would do. Instead, I skillfully take the kingdom's treasury and grow it tenfold based on making easy bets. It's not gambling if the outcome is certain. Is it a little gamey? Perhaps. But no King stays on the throne without being willing to cheat a little...

Warsim: the Realm of Aslona is an amazing kingdom simulator. Don't let the MS DOS/ASCII graphics and presentation fool you, Huw Millward has put a ton of work into this game and it shows. In this game, you are the newly crowned king (or whatever you want to call yourself) in charge of taking care of your people and helping them survive from Bandits, Demons, and other potential issues. There's tons of character, tons of charm, and an overwhelming amount of interlocking features. I only had time to scratch the surface with the game for this video, but I'm happy to show more if there's interest.
