I had my first experience with the Crown Stealer enemies late last session. They’re brutal - ignoring coins and hopping over walls to grab the crown. It turns out that they ended up being heavily nerfed some time after my playthrough, and seemingly for good reason. My defenses did absolutely nothing to it, meaning if they showed up I just had to grit my teeth and try to make it back to where I left off.

Finally started making headway with taking out portals - it seems that you can fully conquer an island, rather than just trying to weather the onslaught before building the ship and moving on.
