I blame my brother. Now I’m simping crazier for the characters than he is. Honestly this is one of the weirdest anime I’ve ever seen. It’s so electric, extra, funny, ridiculous, magnetic, epic, out-of-box and overall bizarre. I was initially in it for the joke, but holy crap am I now absorbed and fascinated. The character designs (+their stands) blows my mind. The creator knows damn well what he’s doing when I can literally tell who’s in frame by looking at ¼ of their body parts. I love how everyone’s personality here is an exaggeration of existing tropes. The heroes were likable and charismatic in their own way, the sidekicks/love interest left impression on me (I love all the jobros tbh, their dynamic with our MCs were an amazing addition to show the Joestar’s softer side), and the villains were absolutely captivating. DIO in all his glory form, I kid you not, wore makeup and a black tank top. God bless this show. If anything, JJBA is like the living embodiment of chaotic creativity. It knows what it is, it embraces the weirdness and it utilizes that aesthetic to the fullest extent. I heard some familiar voice actors here and there, and I gotta say: They took their talent off the chart in this one. Rarely are deep voices VA appreciated in anime, so I’m glad they were given something to do here. The radical color palette is a feast to the eye (and a compliment to the aesthetic of this song, too!) . Holy hell. I’m speechless by how much I enjoyed this show.

In all honesty though, I feel like people should praise JJBA more often on its fusion of style and substance. Aside from hot muscle men and badass women and crazy, thotty villains, the storyline really is something else. I tried explaining the plot to my clueless mother and she thought I was on drugs or something lol. For all anime fans out there, this is a must-watch, alright. Hate it or love it, you gotta give credits to the originality. As for me, though--I’m head over heels.

And btw I tried to include as many characters as I could into this edit. JJBA has like the biggest cast ever so don’t blame me if I missed a hundred of them. My computer is dying from importing all the subclips. Last time I checked I think the speaker device broke down thrice. I won’t question it, though. There were too many episodes to begin with :v

Anyhow, enjoy. If you can. I thought the energy of this song kinda fits JJBA, except for Phantom Blood (which is a shame, because I was actually one of the few that liked it. I miss traditional heroes like Jonathan tbh, even if his later generations were cooler.)
