279I know everyone’s been hyping up AOT season 4… but as someone’s who late to the party...oh man. I cannot get over Erwin’s death. It breaks my heart even more that Levi seemed so affected by it. Why can’t they just be happy and open their tea shop or something smsjswwwfyt why Isayama why ;(((
This ship is literally everything to me. I love how much these two grow to trust each other over time. That mutual respect and admiration is something I can’t find in most anime dynamics, but in AOT it’s so well portrayed. I get the comrades-willing-to-die-for-each-other sort of relationship between these two, and it’s fucking beautiful. You can see it as either platonic or romantic and even then it would not detract how amazing their bond is. It’s one of the few dynamics that genuinely touched me. (And made me cry while editing. Man, the world of AOT is just too cruel…)
Also. This song. This song is made for them, I swear. I love the fact that it fits Levi and Erwin as standalone characters too. There’s a cool aesthetic to Blue Jeans that seemingly enhances how sad and emotional it really is, and these men just deserved so much better. Erwin rejected his humanity to save the world, and Levi puts on a cold demeanor to protect others. The more I think about them, the more melancholic I get :((((
I aspire to be as strong as the characters in AOT, really. The Survey Corp is awesome.

Ps: To lighten the mood….I found Hange’s character a huge inspiration. This woman was the light in the dark, brutal world of AOT because she lets nothing stop her from being curious. She was slightly unhinged at times, sure, but she was also fearless, ambitious, smart and strong. Probably the only glasses-adorned anime character that I truly am proud of and cared for (since I’m near-sighted as well). You can actually see snippets of her in this edit, for instance when she was pushed out of the room by Levi lol xDD
