Start your exploration from land and to the far reaches of the galaxy. Joops will take you there as long as you have the good hands to do it! What you must do here is simply control the character named Joops as he flies on the screen. Maneuver him and avoid crashing on the mines. If you crash, you will lose shields and might crash. But if you reach the required distance for that area, the level will be completed and you will get to unlock new places and even the outer space! Collect as many stars as you can as well and use them to upgrade Joops.

Overview:

Joops is a game where you control a little fellow probably named Joops. He travels in six different worlds namely Country, Underwater, Desert, Frozen, Jungle and Space avoiding all sorts of obstacles and projectiles. It’s your job to make sure that our little friend gets to his destination. Then again if you fail you can always just start all over again. Play the game over and over again to get a record suitable to your standards.

Aesthetics:

The visuals for the game may look childish but they are visually appealing. The colors are bright and vibrant perfect for each world. Speaking of the worlds, the motif for each world has a nice setting to it. You won’t get easily bored with them as well as not get distracted. That’s one thing that is good about the visuals is that you can decipher between what’s on the background and on the foreground. The music is also nicely made. It has a modern tune which fits perfectly for the game. The motifs of each stage sync well with the music tracks. Just like how the Country stage has a countryside tune to it or the Space stage has that galactic tune to it.

Gameplay:

The gameplay uses a two dimensional overhead visual display. The player will control the character through a series of obstacles. The objective is to go to the end of each stage. Thewill be starting from the beginning where there is a certain number of distance that they need to travel to reach the end. Once the player has reached the end, they can access the next stage until they have completed all six stages. It sounds simple enough but the actual stages can give you some sort of challenge. Your job is to evade the obstacles present in all the stages. You will also need to evade incoming projectiles because these will also hurt your character. Once you lose all your lives, you need to start back at the beginning. You will have a marker pointing out where you last died so that you can overcome it in your next attempt. You will also have an option in using either the mouse or the up and down keys to evade. Using the up and down keys requires some fast reflexes. If you want to use the mouse then make sure it doesn’t move out of the game screen because it will become unresponsive. You can also collect stars along the path of each stage. These stars can be used to purchase upgrades for your character’s vehicle. Initially your character will have 3 lives to spare. You can upgrade it to increase the number of lives or simply increase the other aspects to improve your character. There will also occasional power ups that help give you lives or boost your speed becoming invulnerable for a few seconds. There may only be six stages but the replay value for the game is good in the long run.
