[Kairosoft Android] Dungeon Village gameplay (JP)
0Ugh. Next time, I'm going to record in the dark. :P I never noticed my stupid habit of picking my index finger until this video. .__.;
This is a recording of a little bit of my second time through the game. As store levels carry over to subsequent playthroughs, it's easier to for adventurers to improve their stats. Any job classes you master prior to the last week of March in the 16th year are also carried over. This is why they're able to clear enemy outbreaks, dungeons, and randomly spawning enemies on the field quickly.
Quick summary of what's going on in the video:
The first bit shows several adventurers "signing up" and heading off to a explore a dungeon. For those that have played Epic Astro Story, this should look familiar. And like EAS, you can add additional people to the party. The maximum seems to be 9 though. You can also equip them but equipping in this sense means either buying weapons, armour and accessories for them or handing over a one-time free item. More on the free item later.
When I go into the menu, I head to the イベント開催 which is the option to hold an event. Events are key to increasing a lot of parameters in the game such as the strength and defense for adventurers as well as town popularity. You can select a certain number of events each season and some events may not be available until a particular season. Events use up research points which are obtained mostly from battles with random enemy spawns on the field.
The second time I head to menu is to buy items from Mr. Pumpkin. Unlike many other Kairosoft games released to date, you can sell items too! I've never used the option myself but if you find you're not using certain items or low on capital, you can always opt to sell some stuff. All items have multiple uses in ADV. They can increase stats for adventurers, increase the prices, quality and/or appeal of shops, and they also serve as ingredients to the Magic Pot. You can see in the video that I I spend about a minute upping parameters of the inn and a shop. :3
Oh, about the items in Pumpkin's shop, their stock level and availability will vary.
Now about the one-time free item! Each time a new weapon, armour, or accessory is discovered or created from the Magic Pot, you can provide it to any adventurer for free. However, subsequent gifting of the same piece of equipment will come at a cost. Gifting characters is a way to increase their satisfaction with the village and also give them motivation to stay out in the battlefield longer. You will also increase the town popularity by doing this. All of these have positive and important effects and contribute to a successful game.
For example, once the satisfaction of an adventurer reaches a certain point, he or she will move in which will provide an additional boost to his or her stats. He or she will also provide you with a gift. But the main reason you want them to move in is to collect rent (and the clear points calculation at the end of the game also counts how many adventurers end up staying at the village).
Around 6:42, I access the Magic Pot. The witch can learn various recipes that will allow you to create items and equipment; most of which can't be found in dungeons or the field.
